Another question… the flu infects about 8–12% of the population. If one is 300x more likely to catch C19, doesn’t that mean it would infect 3000% of the population?

UPDATED: OK, I assume you mean that the R0 is significantly larger than for the flu which means if you meet someone with C19 you are much more likely to get infected than if you meet someone with the flu.
